What makes this whitening kit so unique and attractive to me is that it is custom fitted to you! I have used Crest White Strips before but never felt like they whitened in every single little crevice of my teeth, they also didn’t always stay put and would slide around. I’ve also tried the whitening gel with the aid of the LED light, which having your gums all wide open was the most awkward and uncomfortable process ever. This method also nearly burned my gum line and was a bit painful! I don’t have perfectly straight teeth and have a bit of crowding at the bottom, the custom fitted trays from Smile Brilliant worked beautifully to get in every nook and cranny of my smile.

The trays were so comfortable! I sometimes forgot I even had them on. They fit perfectly for me and didn’t feel tight or too hard. The way you get your custom fitting trays is by making an impression of your teeth at home with the kit they send you and then mail it back. It is incredibly easy to do.
The kit comes with the base and catalyst that you mix together by hand and then put in the blue plastic trays pictured. You then bite into that. After about 3 minutes it makes an impression of your upper and lower teeth. Smile Brilliant sends you a prepaid package with label to send that back to them. Their lab then creates your custom fitted whitening trays. It was very quick too, after I sent back my impressions, I received my trays within a week.
Within the kit you will also find syringes of the actual teeth whitening gel and the desensitizing gel. You first want to brush your teeth with just water and also floss. Put a very thin layer towards the front of your trays with the whitening gel. Wear that for anywhere for 45 mins to 3 hours. I started with 45 minutes just to make sure I didn’t have any sensitivity. I was shocked that I didn’t! You hear about so many painful whitening experiences where the whitening solution is just plain painful. I increased my whitening time to about an hour and stuck with that every time I would whiten.
After you use the whitening gel, rinse out your trays with water and let dry. A paper towel works great to dab it dry. As it is drying, brush your teeth with your favorite toothpaste. The last step is to use the desensitizing gel. Same way, you want to put a thin layer towards the front of the trays and wear them for about 15 to 20 mins. After that time is up, take out your trays, rinse them with water, and store them in the white container they came in. No need to brush your teeth again, you are good to go!
The whole whitening process takes about 7-10 sessions. I still have a full syringe full of the whitening and desensitizing gel and will use that when I feel like I want a touch up. I was very happy with the results of Smile Brilliant! It was by far the most comfortable whitening system I have ever used. I highly recommend giving Smile Brilliant a go!
